Patricia Holley Kaiter, the sister of legend Buddy Holly passed away September 25 in a Lubbock nursing home at the age of 79.
Kaiter, who was seven years older than Holly, was 29 when her youngest brother died in February 3, 1959 in a plane crash that also killed Ritchie Valens and JP "The Big Bopper" Richardson. Kaiter kept the memory of her brother alive throughout her life.
Holly, who was only 22 when he died, wrote several hit songs that include Peggy Sue and That'll Be The Day.
