According to one poll, Democratic presidential candidate Barak Obama has a seven-point lead, up by four points since earlier this week.
The surge in support from registered voters is from the claim that they believe Obama would do a better job of leading the country through the current financial crisis.
A Gallup poll, however, has Obama up only by four points, showing a point loss for Obama, and a one point gain for John McCain.
